This expansive cave suite originally was once a family hearth where the family members gathered for cooking. Today, it is the largest of all suites at Cappadocia Estates. It consists of two very spacious rooms: one is the master bedroom, while the other is a living room surrounded by divans for sitting, relaxing, and conversing. The living room can be converted into a children’s room or a second bedroom, hence also categorizes as a Family Suite. Suite features a large bathroom with double vanities, shower cabin, and a separate jacuzzi tub; there’s also a front porch with a divan. This suite is ideally suited for families.

Once upon a time, Cappadocian mansions had private chapels – some even had grape presses in them to make their own wine. In this spacious suite, you can still see the chapel apse as well as the grape press. The large bathroom has double vanities, a separate jacuzzi tub, and a shower cabin. The suite opens to a large terrace with tables and chairs. This cave suite also categorizes as a Family Suite.

The “divan” – or living room – was the second-most important room of the historic Mustafapasa mansions. This particular deluxe cave suite was the Divan of the mansion. It is unusual with its many windows with sunshine pouring in and bathing the room in natural light. It has those beautiful Roman arches and a hezen ceiling – simply beautiful! The suite opens to a large terrace with tables and chairs.

213 is a duplex suite and a tribute to the talented masons who built this mansion. The vaulted ceiling is a delicate example of such fine masonry, with a gorgeous artwork by Turkey’s Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu adorning the stairway. Each room has its own private bathroom. The first-floor room has a queen-size bed along with a private bathroom and shower. The second-floor room can be set up with a king-size bed or two twin beds, and there is a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. This room also has its one dressing room. The unit also categorizes as a Family Suite.

Surprising is the best word to describe this playful duplex deluxe cave suite. Entered through a barrel-vaulted outdoor porch, the suite looks like an “ordinary” Cappadocian dwelling with partial immersion into the bedrock, masonry walls with volcanic building blocks, solid wood beams for the ceiling, multiple arches and fire-darkened walls; the surprise awaits when you descend the black basalt steps… a second subterranean bedroom ideal for a couple or a children!

The master bedroom can be set up with one king-size bed or two twin beds. The second bedroom has one queen-sized bed. Both rooms share one bathroom accessed through the master bedroom. The bathroom is decorated with travertine tiles and has a jacuzzi bathtub. 

With a vast view terrace in the front, this high-spirited deluxe cave suite feels like a door opening to an oasis. Carrying eclectic elements of historic Cappadocian cave homes, partly immersed in the bedrock, solid beams for part of the ceiling, there are several Roman arches, niches, and a closet carved in the bedrock, known as “yüklük.”

The signature element of this deluxe cave suite is the elaborate crystal chandelier that welcomes you as you step inside. Access to this spacious deluxe cave suite is through an “embroidered” Roman arch that marks the start of the barrel-vaulted front porch. Behind the headboard, the suite is decorated with triple pseudo-triumphal arches carved in bedrock. The partially sequestered porch, which offers privacy, and a view of the lush garden and village.

423 stands out with the most oversized private terrace of Cappadocia Estates. While embracing the beautifully manicured gardens and the village, the terrace provides a peaceful retreat with its large arched ceiling with wood beams. The shallow, intricately carved arch behind the bed provides a timeless elegance. The large bathroom is decorated with onyx and travertine tiles and has a separate jacuzzi tub and a shower cabin.  

Down the rabbit hole… 431 is a labyrinth-like deluxe cave suite with a curvy corridor that has a bedroom and a living room at each end. It is a beautiful mix of local architectural styles, with parts immersed in the bedrock, classical-style Roman arches and niches, wood-paneled and logged ceilings, and little local trinkets in nooks and crannies. The large bathroom is decorated with onyx and travertine tiles and has a separate jacuzzi tub and a shower cabin. The huge, secluded private terrace offers privacy and a view of the lush garden and village.

With a huge front porch boasting views of the rolling hills of Cappadocia, 512 is an elegant deluxe cave suite. It is spacious with a lot of space in all compartments. The signature item in the suite is the closet carved in the bedrock, known as “yüklük”.  The masonry wall around the fireplace has traces of the original blue color wall paints, beloved color in Cappadocia.
